About

Hey, I’m a student web designer from State College, PA. I started designing for the web when I was sixteen and have been hooked ever since. I’m not really that big on blogging, so you might not see this site of much use, other than an outlet for my ideas and creations. A friend and I recently started up a local web design company called Brambling Design, which is where my main designing efforts are going for now.

In case you’re wondering, I’m not really sure of the inspiration for the name Brambling, as I didn’t come up with it. A brambling is a type of Finch (not particularly attractive). My friend Sean (who came up with the name) probably just had some sort of strange obsession with Finches, but I’m not complaining. Here’s a challenge though: Find a picture of a Brambling actually flying. While we were trying to come up with a good logo, we wanted a good silhouette of a brambling flying against the sun. Unfortunately, that didn’t work, as all the pages of google images we were searching through had Bramblings posing in the same way; chilling on a branch.

My other interests are pretty typical. I don’t really want to go too in depth, as I’m not very ecstatic about putting all of my personal information online, but I guess interests are fairly general things. The websites I frequent are mostly relevant to technology and web design, but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Reddit. It’s something along the lines of Digg, but the community is much smaller, and the articles are of a higher quality (along with the comment threads). I’m also an avid fan of Movies. I’ve only recently started with Netflix, but it’s the most amazing thing in the world. Often times a good movie can be like a good book. I love music too. Along those lines though, I hate TV. It’s horrible. The stuff they try to shovel out on us is almost laughable. I must admit though, there are a few select shows, which despite their flaws keep me hooked.

Alright, this is getting to feel a little bit too much like an essay for school, I’m done.
